Master Classes by Eugene Schwartz: Teaching Grade One

Over the years, Eugene Schwartz has given hundreds of lectures to teachers at summer conferences in Rudolf Steiner College, Sunbridge Institute, and the Essential Conferences in Kimberton, PA, and Mancos, CO. The "Master Classes" Download series is a collection of the most helpful of these lectures, all of which exemplify Eugene's intent to guide teachers to "Know What. Know How. Know Why." Although any single lecture may prove to be all that you need, we urge you to consider the discount given if you download the entire set of any one grade.

Be sure to read about #310, "The Elements of Grade One," a Download with hundreds of images of Grade One student work.

  • Before You Purchase the Master Classes, Learn about the Online Conference for This Grade . . . .
We are often asked "What is the difference between the Master Classes lectures on a particular grade and the Online Conference for that grade?" Here are some comparisons:

Every Online Conference contains at least three times — and as much as five times — the content of the Master Classes set for the same grade. And while the Master Classes are completely audio, the Online Conferences offer hours of slideshows of student work, "teachers guides" videos in many subjects, and, in the upper grades, lab science demonstrations and slide shows of masterworks of art relevant to your grade.

While the Master Classes are recordings of lectures given to live audiences, the Online Conferences were recorded with high-quality digital equipment and meant especially for online transmission.

In short, the Master Classes are an excellent "refresher course," and, once you have purchased them and downloaded them they are yours to keep. The Online Conferences are, on the other hand, a thorough preparation for your new grade; in fact, many of our participants feel that the conferences provide them with far more depth and insight than they received in their teacher training.

You can make the comparison yourself. To read the complete contents of every Online Conference and listen to samples of conference lectures, visit:
