In the three weeks following its debut on the Apple App Store, the iWaldorf app was purchased by nearly 3000 people from 49 countries. It is gratifying to see that an iPhone app presenting Waldorf education is an idea whose time has come.
We want to express special thanks to (among others) experienced Waldorf pedagogues Melanie Reiser and Laura Posusta, who urged us to change our name to better reflect our mission. In homage to the “etheric world” that figures so importantly in the education of the child — and that appears so prominently in anthroposophical literature — we have renamed our app e.Theric.
We believe that our new designation reflects the fact that this app is not only about education, but is representative of Anthroposophy as well. In fact, among the over 1.7 million apps available to iPhone users, we are the only app offering anthroposophical content. We hope that all that appears on e.Theric is worthy of this stewardship.
Concurrently, we are working hard on an Android version that may be downloaded by the 75% of smartphone users who do not own an iPhone. In the meantime, please help yourself to the many free resources available on this website by clicking on the “HOME” tab in the upper left hand corner of this page.
